What to Expect

You can expect focused, individualized care in a relaxing, unrushed office. I see a limited number of patients a week so I can provide you with mindful care that is specific for your needs and goals. My diverse training allows me to effectively work with a variety of problems and conditions. I specialize in treating acute injuries, chronic pain, visceral (thorax/chest, abdomen and pelvis) adhesions, some nerve and vascular conditions, male and female pelvic problems, and all orthopedic conditions. Trauma recovery techniques and exercises are incorporated where appropriate.

Initial appointments start with your history and examination covering your current complaint, past and current injuries and conditions, movement and gait analysis along with ‘listening’ to the fascia (fascia is connective tissue that is found throughout the body and covering and connecting tissues, organs and cells of your body) using light touch with sensitive hands to discern tension patterns, pulls, adhesions and asymmetries in your body.

Treatment incorporates a blend of therapies and techniques to treat the various tissues involved with your problem. I use light to firm hand pressure that focuses on the specific tissues that need to be treated, active and passive movement and exercises and mind-body exercises and techniques. Initial sessions are 90 minutes with follow up sessions typically lasting 45 to 60 minutes. Most of the work is gentle, working with the body not against it in a respectful manner.
